Here comes the flood

Spring runoff over Black Eagle Falls

Black Eagle Falls is spilling at full capacity.
Just a quick post to express my deep disappointment with all the rain during the Memorial Day weekend.
It kept me inside.
I suppose we could have gotten some play time on Monday with another foot of snow at Kings Hill, but we figured it was wet, messy snow and decided to pass.
There are floods throughout the region and state with 51 counties under an emergency flood watch and the town of Roundup and some of Lewistown under water.
We expect by the end of the week the snow and rain that fell in the high country over the holiday weekend will start making its way downstream and are bracing for the expected floods.
What this means for outdoor adventuring is uncertain.
The Forest Service shut down the Lewis and Clark National Forest to recreation because of the flood danger.
